• Boverket compiles "Sverign 2009", a perspective for the future for
  building development, transport, land use and environment. The
  document with objectives for spatial interdisciplinary planning has an influence on Swedish spatial planning, e.g. "vision & strategies around the Baltic Sea 2010" (VASAB)
  
• Vision & Strategies around the Baltic Sea 2010. Inter-governmental multilateral co-operation of 11 countries of the Baltic Sea Region in spatial planning and development.
  
• Parliament had last set political aims for transport in 1998 (Accessible transport system, high quality of transport, positive regional development …).

Summary
In the Swedish planning system spatial planning is recognised as sectoral planning on a national or local level. Die regional planning level therefore hasn't the job of carrying out physical planning but to create development strategies. The regional development strategies are consensually compiled, concluded and approved by the national planning.
The national planning is, similar to the French planning system, represented at a regional level by national representatives. With the sectorial imprint of the planning system, the national level has a strong
influence.
